Here at Grubhub, our employees are pretty obsessed with food. Every day, we’re making sure
delicious food finds its way to your door….and to ours. Say what? Correct, we too order from Grubhub (so meta).
With our “What I Ate in a Week” series, you’ll get a sneak peek into the lives of actual — never not hungry — Grubhub team members. A nice benefit that happens to come with our jobs is what we call “mealperks” — our weekly Grubhub stipend. Clearly, we’re using this to get the best bites in town each and every week.
On deck, we have: Laura, a Senior Manager on our Brand Marketing Team. Get the lowdown on her delivery highlights of the week and top ordering hacks.
Let’s meet Laura.
I’m a Chicago native–and yes, I love deep dish–now living in Lincoln Park with my husband. Some of my hobbies include: breaking a sweat at workout classes, trying new restaurants, binge-watching documentaries, traveling everywhere, and dogs–even though we don’t have one…yet. (wink)
And here are my top delivery eats from last week…
Mexi-Cali Salad from Mixed Greens
Call me creature of habit, but on Mondays, I really like to kickstart my week eating healthy. It’s also a day I don’t want to think/make decisions, so the express reorder feature is my best friend when it comes to ordering my favorite salad from Mixed Greens. With one quick tap of a button–the Mexi-Cali Salad (chock full of corn, beans, white cheddar cheese and tomatoes) is soon at my office. Pro tip: always put in the instructions ‘chop & mix’ for an optimal salad eating experience.
Healthy Bowl from Protein Bar & Kitchen
I’m a big fan of Protein Bar & Kitchen for several reasons. For starters, with their loyalty program (that’s already integrated into the Grubhub app), whenever you spend $88, you get $8 toward your next order! Also, the spinach bowl there is so healthy, yet satisfying…since it’s packed with chicken and quinoa. I’ll place an order for pickup when I’m leaving the gym and just swing by and grab it off the shelf when I’m done!
Egg Sandwich from Kanela Breakfast Club
I love preordering an egg sandwich and orange juice from Kanela Breakfast Club to round out my morning weekend routine. I time it so it arrives at my door right after my morning workout. It’s the best thing to come home to after running a few miles on the treadmill–especially when you’re too tired to cook and have reached the end of your groceries for the week!
